Dairy Equipment for Quality and Profit Growth

Indian Dairy Industry is one of the fastest growing industry as the consumption of dairy products rising faster. As per NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) reports, the Indian dairy industry is all set to experience high growth rates in the next 8 years where the demand is likely to reach an approximately to 200 million tonnes  by 2022 which was 132 million in 2013. This tremendous scope within the dairy industry attracts small and big private players to start investment into the business. Big giants like Nestle, Amul & Danone etc., already came in the business line and serving the dairy need of the Indian Population.

NDDB report says that at present, only 20% of the milk production comes from the organized sector which includes co-operatives and private dairies. Prior to focus on industry growth, we shall have to understand the dairy products and the profit share of them. Dairy products are categorized on two segments: Liquid Milk & VADP (Values added dairy products)

Liquid milk which we use in our daily has a huge consumption by all age group for health benefits. The demand of packaged and processed liquid milk also increased for household as well as for business purpose such as tea, coffee, curd cake, cream etc. The profit margin in liquid milk lies from 4-5%.

Whereas, VADP consists of Flavoured milk, low fat, yoghurt, cheese, UHT milk; butter milk, cottage, butter and ice-cream sourced from other milk. Due to higher demands and double the profit margin in VADP’s which ranges from 10-12% attracts big players to enter into the dairy industry business. Another factor which stimulated the demand for these products is urbanization & convenience which lead to change the buying interest of dairy products from traditional source to packaged dairy food.

We at INOXPA from many years serving the need of dairy industry by offering sanitary Hygienic Centrifugal Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Mixers, Agitators, Blenders, Valves – Fittings and Skids which enables the dairy industry in production of best quality and hygienic dairy products. Side Entry Agitators LR/LM is also a product used in dairy industry for storage and production of the dairy products.

Side Entry Agitators LR/LM

INOXPA side entry agitator LR/LM is designed to meet dairy industry needs. It ensures a longer preservation of milk by continuously agitating the milk and maintaining uniform temperature in the tank and keeping it homogenous.

Operating principle

The components of the INOXPA bottom side entry agitators are geared motor (LR Agitator) or direct motor (LM Agitator), shaft and propeller. These agitators (LR/LM) are installed in storage tank at the slanted position. When an agitator is switched on, its shaft starts rotating with the propeller and creates a high flow that impels the product to rise from the bottom of the tank to the surface that leads to an effective mixing and homogenizing of the products in the tank.
