Advanced solutions for hydrocolloid dispersion

CMC mixing system by INOXPA is designed to efficiently disperse hydrocolloids such as carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), carbopol, pectin, guar gum, xanthan gum and various starches. These additives are crucial in industries ranging from food processing to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, where they act as thickeners, stabilizers, gelling agents and emulsifiers.

Why choose a CMC mixing system manufactured by INOXPA?

Traditional mixing methods often lead to the formation of lumps when hydrocolloids come into contact with liquid. This makes achieving a homogeneous mixture difficult. The INOXPA CMC system overcomes this challenge with an integrated high-shear rotor-stator mixer that ensures rapid dispersion and smooth consistency.

CMC mixing system

Key benefits

  • High efficiency: the system rapidly disperses powders into liquids, reducing processing time.
  • Homogeneous mixing: the high-shear mixer prevents lump formation and ensures a uniform mixture.
  • Versatile applications: suitable for food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, with applications in gel, cream, lotion and shampoo production.
  • Customizable agitation: options for additional agitation elements, such as an anchor agitator, for highly viscous products.
  • CIP cleaning compatibility: designed with integrated spray balls for easy cleaning and maintenance.

How it works

The system consists of a stainless steel vertical tank equipped with:

Quick and even dispersion in liquid

  • Bottom high-shear mixer breaks down powders efficiently, ensuring quick and even dispersion in liquid.
  • Cowler type vertical agitator directs powder towards the mixer head, improving dispersion time.
  • Manual butterfly discharge valve allows controlled product flow.
  • Level sensors ensure proper operation and prevent overflows.
  • Safety features include a manhole for powder addition and inspection, with integrated safety detectors.
  • For highly viscous products, additional features like an anchor agitator and a heating jacket can be incorporated to improve mixing and handling.
