Dairy, Food-processing, Beverages, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics industries are engaged in production of products that sometimes can be of high-value. After the production process, there is always some product left in the pipeline. It is important to recover the residual to optimize the production cost and to increase profitability.
Depending on the properties, products may be viscous or very viscous. And the task of recovering this product left in the pipeline after the production process is not easy. INOXPA designed and developed product recovery equipment which effectively works with the residual product.
INOXPA Product recovery system STERIPIG is the most effective equipment for the recovery of the viscous product remaining in the pipeline.
INOXPA Product Recovery System STERIPIG comprises a Launcher, Receiver and a PIG (spherical shape), 2 position detectors (one at the side of the launcher and another at the receiver), 4 automatic butterfly valves and 2 KH multi-way valves.
The sphere is positioned at the launch position by an external magnet. Then the sphere is driven by a propellant (normally compressed air) down the pipeline to the receiver recovering any product left in the pipeline. When recovery is complete, the PIG is situated at the receiver and all the installation can be cleaned by CIP, the PIG can also be cleaned during the CIP routine. The CIP process is finished, the sphere is placed again into the launcher leaving the plant ready for the next production process.
Applications of STERIPIG: preparation of gels, creams and other body care products for cosmetic industry.
